Sensex of India reached record high of 12,690.92 points The benchmark index, Sensex touched yet another high on friday on the Bombay stock Exchange (BSE) hitting 12,690.92 points by foreign funds from global markets. BSE Points rose 152.94 points in just five minutes of trading. Earlier this year on May 11 BSE Sensex reached a record high of 12,671.11 points. After that day there was a heavy correction done by SEBI to sustain the Bull run. That made a collpase of Sensex and traders sold number of stocks. The wide-based Nifty index on the National Stock Exchange was up by 41.50 points at 3662.55 points. All BSE-30 and NSE-50 index related stocks were in the green with sizeable gains.
