Mahesh Bhupathi to play in the Asian Games

Mahesh Bhupathi has at least partially agreed to come out of his self-imposed exile of not wanting to represent the country.

The 10-time grand slam champion has agreed to play in the Doha Asian Games later this year along with Shikha Tandon. Mahesh Bhupati had earlier announced that he would not play for India.

Mahesh Bhupati was upset that he was not allowed to play with Sania Mirza at the Asiad and with Leander Paes for not wanting to play with him in the run up to the Beijing Olympics.

Clearly, there is no final decision yet that Mahesh Bhupathi has taken on the Olympics or Davis Cup, but Mahesh Bhupati said that there was virtually no communication between him and Leander Paes right now.
