Sun TV becomes a pay channel from December this year

Sun TV which is the most popular private television channel in South India enjoys a lion’s share in terms of viewership. Sun TV especially is the most sought after channel among the Tamil speaking audience across the globe.

Now this channel is becoming a pay channel from December 2nd this year. Subscribers are required to pay a monthly sum of Rs. 12/- from next month if they wish to watch Sun TV.

FM at the frequency of 93.5 MHz in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli and Vizag. In addition to this, this group has plans to launch three more FM stations in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Jaipur. This would be marketed under the brand name ‘S FM’ from 6th of this month.

During the bidding for radio stations for 68 venues, this group has won 45 stations. Out of this, the initial work for thirty eight stations is nearing completion. When the full fledged launch takes place in the near future, Sun Network is sure to emerge as the key player in this segment.
