Sourav Ganguly Strikes Back

Sourav Ganguly, former captain of India, strikes back yesterday in Potchefstroom for a four day test match. Sourav Ganguly who was out of Indian Cricket team for past 10 months struggled to get a place in Indian Cricket Team. His much awaited position in team was rewarded due to the Bad patch of Indian Cricket team and also the injury of key players of India.

Yesterday Indian Cricket team found a new Ganguly who showed his commitment towards team with a spectacular knock of 83. It may not be a light for the current dry patch of Indian Cricket team but definitely a Light for Sourav Ganguly's Career in Indian Cricket Team. All Key players of India was eliminated by Morne Morkel and his associates Sourav Ganguly stood stir in crease with Irfan Pathan and stopped the south Africans Dominations in the game.

Sourav Ganguly came to crease when the scoreboard showing 37 for 3. A score which was not expected from a team like India. Sourav Ganguly was invited to crease by three slips in position one Gully man, a short point and a short leg. It was an aggressive field setting for former Indian Cricket team captain. Ganguly looked cool and composed. There is no sign of pressure in Sourav Ganguly's face and he took on his mark with a flick through edge which granted two runs.

Sourav Ganguly got hit in his helmet but the Bengal Tiger showed his sheer power and stood in crease after a small treatment. At 41 Ganguly got a life by a drop catch. Is that is the life provided by God? Definitely It is, Ganguly took that Life and hit a superb knocks and everyone thought that Sourav Ganguly will comeback with a century. But expectations failed... Sourav Ganguly got out at 83.

Every one eagerly waited for his return to Indian Cricket, and they got rewarded yesterday. In Bengal People are overjoyed and for each knock there was shouts like "Come on Dada". Yes their Dada came back to lime light of cricket again.

Another Interesting fact that can be seen on first day is Irfan Pathan, who did another knock of 115 and took the game from 69 for 5 to 316 for 7. He provided a supporting role to Sourav Ganguly and performed with maturity and technical skills to reach that first International century for his credit. This will give him his confidence back and will help him to bowl confidently
