India rolls ProteasIndia has won its first match on tour in South Africa, defeating the host nation in a one-off Twenty20 international in Johannesburg. South Africa lost steady wickets throughout its innings and finished its 20 over on 9-126. India, playing its first Twenty20 match, reached the target off the second last ball with six wickets in hand. Dinesh Karthik steered India home with an innings of 31 not out that earned him man-of-the-match honours. Needing nine to win off the final over, Dinesh Karthik hit Robin Peterson for six over midwicket to help his side to a morale-boosting victory. Earlier, Indian fast bowlers Zaheer Khan and Ajit Agarkar reduced South Africa to 4-41, before big-hitting Albie Morkel came to the crease and smashed three sixes, including one that cleared the stands. However Morkel's innings was quick and he was dismissed for an innings-high 27. Zhaeer Khan took 2-15 off his four overs while Agarkar had figures of 2-10 when he was forced to leave the ground during his third over because of a groin strain. India made a poor start to the chase when Sachin Tendulkar was bowled for 10, after previously being caught off a free hit. Virender Sehwag and Dinesh Mongia both made 30s, but it was left to Dinesh Karthik to finish the job. The two teams will revert back to the 50-over format when they meet in the final one-day international of their series on Sunday.
